With the continuous improvement of environmental protection requirements, asbestos free gaskets have become the mainstream environmentally friendly sealing products in the industrial sealing field, replacing traditional asbestos gaskets widely used in the sealing joint surfaces of machinery, internal combustion engines, pipeline valves and other equipment.

Asbestos free gaskets are generally formed by rolling aramid fibers, mineral fibers, rubber binders, and fillers, without asbestos fibers, to avoid health risks caused by asbestos dust and comply with domestic and international environmental production standards. The material itself has excellent compression rebound performance, and after being compressed on the joint surfaces such as flanges and boxes, it can adhere to small gaps in the contact surfaces; Simultaneously possessing stable oil, water, and weak acid and alkali resistance, it is suitable for most lubricants, cooling water, gas and other media.

There are significant differences in the pressure and temperature resistance of asbestos free gaskets with different formulations. The type of fiber and the selection of rubber adhesive directly determine the anti permeability and anti-aging capability of the gasket. Some formulas are suitable for medium temperature conditions, while ordinary models are more suitable for room temperature and low-pressure equipment. Under pressure fluctuation conditions, good resilience can continuously compensate for joint surface deformation and reduce the risk of medium leakage.

In practical selection, it is not enough to rely solely on the appearance of the gasket for selection. It is necessary to comprehensively consider the corrosion characteristics of the equipment medium, working temperature, and pressure. Even if the fiber substrate is the same, gaskets with different rubber bonding systems have significant differences in long-term performance. Selection can refer to mature application cases under the same working conditions to assess aging and hardening risks in advance.

Its application scenarios are very wide: asbestos free gaskets can be found in engine cylinder heads, pump housings, pipeline flanges, heat exchange equipment, etc. In the internal combustion engine industry, it is commonly used to make various shaped sealing gaskets; In general industrial pipelines, it is commonly used for sealing media such as oil, cooling water, and compressed air.

Reasonably selecting asbestos free gaskets can not only meet the sealing requirements of equipment, but also meet the requirements of environmental production, reduce equipment leakage, and lower the frequency of maintenance in the later stage
